Highlights of Agency Outreach and Training Events
June 2026
- 27th: Capital City Pride Festival in Olympia, Staff will staff a table, hand out brochure information, swag, and answer general questions regarding discrimination issues.
- 18th: Sexual Harassment training for outreach Employment Security Department (ESD) and Office of Insurance Commissioner (OIC), WA workers and social workers- 70 in attendance.
- 15th: Farm Worker training at Kyle Mathison’s Orchard Wenatchee 65 in attendance H2A.
- 13th: Spokane Pride Festival at Riverfront Park in Spokane - Agency staff staffed a table at the Pride Festival - staff handed out brochure information, swag, and answered general questions regarding discrimination issues.
- 1st: Staff attended Governor Ferguson’s signing of Executive Order 20-01 – supporting women in the workplace experiencing menopause.
May 2026
- 16th: Investigators conducted training at South Seattle College
April 2026
- 18th: Cherry Festival Resource Fair at Stoney’s Plaza, Granger, WA 98932. This special event is part of the community’s Cherry Festival celebration and is designed to connect families with valuable local resources, services, and community programs.
- 18th: Thurston County Homebuyer Fair at Olympia Center, Olympia, WA
- 10th: Investigators conducted training at Boys and Girls Club USA

February 2026
- 27th: Investigators attended Clover Park Technical College’s In-service Professional Development Day event sponsored by their DEI committee. Investigators gave four one-hour presentations which included Q & A sessions. The presentations were an overview of WSHRC (agency structure, mission, areas of jurisdiction, etc.). They focused mostly on employment and public accommodation and specifically covered, harassment, retaliation, and use of a trained service animal.
- 18th: Investigator attended the Outreach with Senate Interns: Job Shadow/Information Interview Request on Teams and answered intern’s questions about WSHRC.
